Odd Nantan
This is a slice from a Nantan that I got on E-Bay about a year and a half ago. I just sliced it and polished it. I figured it wasn't solid iron, it was too light. This looks a lot like an Impact Melt. Could it be an IMB? Or is it just very oxidized/weathered iron? Or is it not even a meteorite at all? It has metal flecks in it and what looks like melt rivers all through it. There must be many of them out there like this, I have seen many that look the same from the outside. This is one that was veneered "to protect it from further weathering"
